Zoe’s previous experience in the legal industry has provided her with a strong foundation in the area of criminal defence. Zoe has worked closely with experienced solicitors and barristers on a wide range of criminal matters as part of the business services team at our firm, and has been actively involved in case management, legal research, and trial preparation. Her attention to detail and strong work ethic are of assistance to her colleagues and clients.
Zoe is skilled in her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. A unique asset Zoe brings to our firm is her fluency in Mandarin, allowing her to serve Mandarin-speaking clients effectively, breaking down language barriers and ensuring clear communication at every stage. Zoe provides personalised and accessible legal support to those involved with the criminal justice system and is dedicated to ensuring her clients understand the legal process and receive favourable outcomes.
In addition to her professional experience, Zoe volunteered at community legal centres throughout her university studies. This allowed her to engage directly with people, providing essential legal support and advice, and was instrumental in developing her ability to address a variety of legal issues with empathy and diligence.
Before joining Doogue + George as a lawyer, Zoe was employed as a paralegal at private law firms in Melbourne, in the areas of criminal defence and commercial law.
Zoe completed a Juris Doctor degree at Monash University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
Zoe is based at our Melbourne and Broadmeadows offices.
