Luwam graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychological Sciences from Latrobe University before being admitted to the Australian legal practice.
Luwam commenced work at Doogue + George as a legal assistant and remained in this position for 3 years. This has given her extensive first-hand experience on how to engage with clients effectively as well as valuable knowledge in the practice of criminal law and court processes.
In her capacity as a legal assistant, Luwam has experience working on criminal matters at all levels of the legal system including homicide, fraud, drug trafficking, quasi-crime and sexual offences. She has assisted with trial matters, pleas of guilty and pre-charge work.
Luwam has always been passionate about social justice. Coming from a migrant family has exposed her to various injustices which has inspired her to advocate for people’s fundamental rights. This has been further enthused during her time at Doogue + George.
Luwam understands that the gravity of being charged with a criminal offence can be daunting, however her Bachelor of Psychology further enables her to delicately meet the needs of her clients and ensure they receive the best possible outcome.
