Jonathan is based in our Broadmeadows and Melbourne offices. He was previously a Judge’s associate in the Criminal Division of the County Court of Victoria and has worked in the Principal Registry at the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Jonathan believes that every case, no matter how serious the allegations, deserves to be thoroughly examined and rigorously defended. He is committed to understanding your story and upholding your rights within the justice system.
Jonathan has a particular interest in the intersection of mental illness and criminal law and is dedicated to approaching all of his clients with understanding, compassion, and respect.
Jonathan brings his experience as a Judge’s associate in the Criminal Division of the County Court of Victoria to Doogue + George. In this role, Jonathan assisted in the conduct of hearings involving a broad range of serious indictable offences, including drug trafficking, incest, and culpable driving causing death. He gained significant exposure to the craft of legal advocacy, drafted sentences, and researched and assisted in the preparation of rulings on evidence and criminal procedure. Prior to this, Jonathan worked in the Principal Registry at the Supreme Court of Victoria. His detailed understanding of the court process allows him to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.
Jonathan is based in our Broadmeadows and Melbourne offices. He holds a Bachelor of Music and Law (Honours) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Institute.
