Ella Trickey

Ella is based at our Sunshine office and regularly appears on behalf of clients at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court as well as other courts across Melbourne.

Ella Trickey LawyerElla brings her experience a Judge’s associate in the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria to Doogue + George. Prior to that, that Ella worked as a Registrar at the Coroners Court of Victoria, in the registry at the Federal Court, and as an assistant to civil barristers at Owen Dixon East chambers.

Ella completed a Juris Doctor degree at Monash University, graduating with high distinction. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.

During her studies, she completed placements and internships at organisations with a focus on delivering justice to over-represented and marginalised members of the community who interact with the legal system.

Ella interned with the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA) in the Northern Territory, worked at the WEstJustice Community Legal Centre, which specialises in economic justice, and completed a professional placement at the Coroners Court of Victoria. She retains an interest in the Coronial jurisdiction.

Ella understands that coming into contact with the criminal justice system can be an intimidating and daunting process for many, and seeks to assist clients navigating the system with helpful, practical and direct advice and advocacy.
