What Happens Now

If you were acquitted of the charges by the jury then your case is over and you can sigh a deep sigh of relief.

If you were granted a discontinuance, then you matter has also finished. (it is very rare but the prosecution can, in theory, present someone again after a discontinuance has been entered at the Court – this has never happened to our firm)

If you had a plea and were sentenced then we would have discussed your appeal rights. The main thing to remember is that you have to lodge your appeal within 14 days of your sentence.
