Theft Charges

The accused suffers from an intellectual disability, a fact well known to police. He was accused of stealing two Navman satellite navigation units, and then selling them to Cash Traders. Police did not allow the accused to have an independent third person present at the time of his police interview to assist him due to his disability.

We represented the client at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court for the charge of Theft.

The Prosecution withdrew the charges.
