Possess and Use of Drug of Dependence – Charges Withdrawn
Our client’s car was pulled over and drugs were found in the possession of his passenger. He was charged with Possession of the drugs which breached a suspended sentence. He was also charged with Use of drug of dependence.
We represented the client at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
We were able to successfully negotiate the withdrawal of the charges at a contest mention pointing to the fact that the passenger had taken full responsibility and had pleaded guilty. This was an excellent result as our client, if found guilty, would have gone to prison for breaching his suspended sentence.
