This is a case study on drug charges and Breach CCO.
Our client had been charged with trafficking just under two kilograms of GHB which is just under a commercial quantity. The client had some criminal history and was also in breach of a Community Corrections Order. He had spent some time in custody before being granted bail to attend residential rehab. We sought a sentence indication.
We acted on the client’s behalf at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court. The charges were:
Submissions were made along with character references. Urine screens were also tendered. His Honour indicated that for the drug charges and Breach CCO, he would not impose any more gaol time if the client pleaded guilty. The client then pleaded guilty and he was sentenced to time served.
