Assault Charges – Neighbour Dispute

Neighbour DisputeThis is a case of assault charges arising from neighbour dispute.

The client had been charged with Recklessly Causing Injury and Unlawful Assault following an incident with a neighbour.

We acted on the client’s behalf at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court.

The client did not have a criminal record and she was worried that a criminal record might affect her employment. The matter was discussed with a police prosecutor and Rowan raised a number of issues with the neighbour’s credibility and reliability. Rowan also provided the prosecutor with a statement from our own witness.

As a result of the discussions, the prosecutor agreed to withdraw the charges.
