Aggravated Burglary and Serious Assaults

The client was charged with aggravated burglary of a property. Three people invaded the home of the complainant, wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons. A witness said in his statement that he recognised the weapon as belonging to the client as the weapon was quite unique. The only connection that could be made between the client and the weapon was that it had been seen previously in the client’s back shed.

We represented the client at the Melbourne County Court for Aggravated burglary and other assault charges.

Following discussions prior to the trial, the prosecution agreed to withdraw all charges against the accused due to lack of evidence.
