Criminal Penalties - Intensive Corrections Order

BlackMenuBar.jpg, 340B

An Intensive Corrections Order or ICO is a stricter form of Community Work. It is considered an actual period of imprisonment by the Courts - although it is served in the community.

There is a requirement to do two days of community work a week and to attend at the Office of Corrections on other days during the week. An ICO is an extremely hard order to get through because any non-compliance is considered a breach and then the matter is brought back before the Court.

You are then sentenced to prison for the period of time from the breach.  An ICO can be imposed for a maximum of one year.

To ensure that you receive the lowest possible penalty, contact Doogue & O'Brien on 03 9670 5111.
