Criminal Penalties - Adjournment of the Charges on Conditions (Good Behaviour Bond)

BlackMenuBar.jpg, 340B

The Court can dismiss the charges and not enter a conviction.

They normally do this if the matter is so trifling that it seems worthless imposing any penalty. The Court can also adjourn a case on you signing a good behaviour bond.

A good behaviour bond means that you will not commit any further offence for a period of time (or you will be charged with breaching the good behaviour bond).  There may also be conditions attached to the good behaviour bond such as a payment to the poor box.

To ensure that you receive the lowest possible penalty, contact Doogue & O'Brien on 03 9670 5111.
