County Court
Acting Solicitor: Bill Doogue

Facts of the Case - Carnal knowledge without consent

The accused was charged with having raped the alleged victim 30 years ago. She was alleged to have come to his house and sat on his bed and then the alleged offences were said to have occurred. The alleged victim had waited for a long time before telling anyone her allegation (years after she had fell out with the defendant's wife). There was a pre-text tape that was alleged to contain admissions. The accused was extremely distressed by what he saw as an outrageous attack on his character.

Results Achieved

A lot of preparatory work was done establishing the relationship history between the various witnesses.

The client was acquitted on all the charges
