Facts of the Case - Trafficking in a commercial quantity


The client was charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of amphetamines, conspiracy to traffick in a large commercial quantity of amphetamines, and possession of a substance used for trafficking amphetamines.  It was alleged that the client was part of a large drug operation manufacturing and supplying drugs throughout Melbourne, and that the client was employed by the operation as a "cook" of amphetamines.

Results Achieved


The matter proceeded to a committal hearing.  Following the giving of evidence by various police operatives, Counsel submitted that there was no case to answer against the client, given the lack of evidence linking him to the drug operation.  The Magistrate agreed, and all charges against the client were withdrawn.
