Bail Offences
Bail Offences
Have you been charged with a bail related criminal charge? We have a number of articles about bail on this website.
If you go through the Interactive Court Tour there is an extensive explanation of the bail process.
Bail charges are fairly small in number. The bail charge most people get charged with is "failing to answer bail".
The main issue in fail to answer bail cases is;
- "Why didn’t you turn up?". (Most often it is because you got the day wrong. Or you may have answered your bail and the Court has made a mistake).
- "What have you done since?" (It is very important to get in contact with the Police as soon as you realised that you made a mistake about the date. Putting the issue off is not a good option. It just makes it harder to get bail when they catch up with you.
